Load calculations & Duct Design

Load calculations & Duct Design class will focus on the proper method to calculate heat loss and how to design a duct system for proper air distribution.

Class will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates:

-  Tuesday, June 24

-  Thursday, June 26

-  Tuesday, July 8

-  Thursday, July 10

Pat Alfonso will be the Instructor for this 16-hour class, which will be held in Room 118 at the Metro Area Sheet Metal Training Center.

 Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning  

Begins in August!

Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning Class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning August 11 through September 10, excluding Labor Day Week; from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Bob Monahan & Steve Kidrowski will be the instructors for this 32-hour class, which will be held at the Training Center in Room 116.

AutoCAD-Class Starts May 7, 2014

AutoCAD is a Computer Aided Design program used to create drawings. This 48-hour class is designed to teach you the basics of creating and working with CAD drawings. You will learn how to draw on the computer and plot out the finished drawing on a plotter. This is an excellent preparatory class for someone interested in doing detailing and planning work. Good detailers are in demand!

Class will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Training Center in Room 50. Class dates include:

May 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27

June 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25

TABB SUPERVISOR CLASS

 NOTE: THIS CLASS QUALIFIES AS CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS FOR ICB/TABB CERTIFIED MEMBERS! This class, which will run a minimum of twelve hours, will provide an excellent overview of what is required of a member in order to become a TABB Supervisor. The ICB/TABB Supervisor Certification exam will be offered at the conclusion of this training. This class is limited to members who qualify to take the TABB Supervisor exam. Sign up soon!

COMMISSIONING CLASS

NOTE: THIS CLASS QUALIFIES AS CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS FOR ICB/TABB CERTIFIED MEMBERS! Building Commissioning is rapidly becoming the norm in our industry as buildings become ready for occupancy. This class, which will run a minimum of twelve hours and may run much longer depending on the students’ needs, will provide an excellent overview of the commissioning process. The ICB/TABB Commissioning Certification exam will be offered at the conclusion of this training. This class is limited to members with substantial TAB experience. Sign up soon!

Benchmark - Fabrication

In this 24-hour class, you will learn how to use the ITI’s Benchmark software to set up your company’s plasma table, manage how patterns are nested on sheets, manage and print labels for fabrication, process downloads from the detailer and update batch status in the building information model. Class will be held on three consecutive days: May 5th, May 6th, and May 7^th, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. here at the Training Center in White Bear Lake (address below). The student must be proficient in AutoCAD in order to benefit from this class. There will be a certification exam offered on the last day of class.
