OSHA CLASS - starts May 10!

There will be an OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Class starting Monday, May 10. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm in Room 124 at the Training Center.

To obtain your OSHA 10 Certification Card, you need only attend the first two classes (May 10 & 12).
To obtain your OSHA 30 Certification Card, you need to attend all six classes (May 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, & 26).

If you do not have an OSHA Card yet, sign up for this class today! If you have an OSHA 10 Card, consider signing up to get your OSHA 30 Card!

REFRIGERANT HANDLING - CFC CERTIFICATION CLASS Coming Soon!

We are very close to having enough people to hold a Refrigerant Handling CFC Certification Class followed by a Refrigerant Handling - Hands On Class. We need just a few more members to sign up! This is a 12-hour class with the test for certification on the last night. If you pass the test, you will hold the card that is the Environmental Protection Agency's certification to purchase and handle refrigerants as outlined in Section 608 of the Clean Air Act.

WELDING CLASS DAY CHANGE!

There will be NO Welding Class on Monday evening, April 26. Welding Class will resume the following week on TUESDAY, May4. This class will continue on TUESDAYS ONLY (no more Mondays!) as long as there is a need.

Gas Piping (Flexible) Installation Class starting soon!

Gas Piping (Flexible) Installation Class will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the following Mondays: April 26, May 10, & May 24. This 12-hour class will include the Gastite, TracPipe, and Wardflex training programs as put on by the manufacturer's representatives. These three brands of corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) are the most prevalent in use in this part of the country for flexible fuel gas piping systems. This class will include hands-on installation of tubing with black pipe fittings on a furnace and a pressure test.

Servicing Environmental Systems III Class starting soon!

A hands on class, Servicing Environmental Systems III, will be held on Wednesdays, April 21 through June 23, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. This 40-hour class requires that you have completed SES I and SES II or have the prior approval of the Instructor.
This class is new and is not listed in the Journeylevel Class Brochure. It will be a hands-on continuation of SES I and SES II.

Estimating (HVAC) / Design/Build HVAC Systems Class Starting Soon!

An Estimating (HVAC) / Design/Build HVAC Systems Class will be held Mondays, April 19 through June 14, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. This 32-hour class will provide the core knowledge necessary to competently design some basic HVAC systems for various types of building construction and occupancies. It will also include instruction on preparing estimates, job "takeoff" accuracy, estimating labor and material costs, productivity variables, labor factor for different building types, overhead and markup, etc.
