COMMISSIONING CLASS

NOTE: THIS CLASS QUALIFIES AS CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS FOR ICB/TABB CERTIFIED MEMBERS! Building Commissioning is rapidly becoming the norm in our industry as buildings become ready for occupancy. This class, which will run a minimum of twelve hours and may run much longer depending on the students’ needs, will provide an excellent overview of the commissioning process. The ICB/TABB Commissioning Certification exam will be offered at the conclusion of this training. This class is limited to members with substantial TAB experience. Sign up soon!

AutoCAD

AutoCAD is a Computer Aided Design program used to create drawings. This 48-hour class is designed to teach you the basics of creating and working with CAD drawings. You will learn how to draw on the computer and plot out the finished drawing on a plotter. This is an excellent preparatory class for someone interested in doing detailing and planning work. Good detailers are in demand!

Benchmark - Fabrication

In this 24-hour class, you will learn how to use the ITI’s Benchmark software to set up your company’s plasma table, manage how patterns are nested on sheets, manage and print labels for fabrication, process downloads from the detailer and update batch status in the building information model. Class will be held on three consecutive days: May 5th, May 6th, and May 7^th, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. here at the Training Center in White Bear Lake (address below). The student must be proficient in AutoCAD in order to benefit from this class. There will be a certification exam offered on the last day of class.

 – OPEN WELD CLASS – 

Every Wednesday night from 4:30 p.m.– 8:30 p.m.

This class is open to all members wishing to learn new weld skills or enhance existing ones, whether it is oxy-fuel, stick, wire, or heliarc welding. Various certifications will be attainable within this class for those wishing to certify, including structural and lagging weld certs. This is an open-entry, open-exit class. You may want to come in for one night only to re-certify or spend a dozen nights practicing for the D1.1 Structural certification.

Fire Life Safety Level One Class Begins April 28, 2014

Fire Life Safety Level One Class will be held on the following dates from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

• April 28, 2014
• May 5, 2014
• May 12, 2014
• TBD: Certification Exam Session

Jon Knudson will be the instructor for this 16-hour class which will be held in Room 122 at the Training Center.

GAS BURNER CODE REVIEW CLASS WILL BEGIN ON APRIL 15, 2014

This 16-hour class will help you better understand the gas safety controls of a residential furnace and their operation. It will also cover proper gas piping procedures, pipe sizing, clocking, meter and gas troubleshooting, and combustion analysis (Orsat tests.)

Class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 118 at the Training Center on the following dates:

April 15, 17, 22, & 24, 2014.

OSHA 30 CERTIFICATION + RIGGING & SIGNAL PERSON - BEGINS MARCH 31, 2014! 

Obtain your OSHA 30 certification card and a Rigging and Signal Person card. Class is held at the Training Center from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from:

 March 31, 2014 - April 16, 2014
