POWER LIMITED TECHNICIAN
UPGRADE CLASS STARTS APRIL 4, 2016
A Power Limited
Technician Upgrade Classes will run from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Training
Center. If you hold the Minnesota Power Limited Technician License, you are
required to earn 16 hours of continued education for renewal of the license.
Don't let your license lapse; it costs more money to renew if you do! This
16-hour class will give you the needed hours of upgrade training to maintain
your license.
NOTE: Power Limited Classes are ONLY offered in October and
April each year!

GAS BURNER CODE REVIEW CLASS STARTS MAY 2!!!!
This basic 16-hour course will help you to better understand the gas safety controls of a residential furnace and their operation. It will also cover proper gas piping procedures, pipe sizing, clocking, meter and gas troubleshooting, and combustion analysis. (Orsat tests)

~Extended AutoCAD & MAP 3D/CAM Class~
AutoCAD is a Computer Aided Design program used to create
drawings. It’s designed to teach you the basics of creating and working with
CAD drawings. You will learn how to draw on the computer and plot out the
finished drawing on a plotter. This is an excellent preparatory class for
someone interested in doing detailing and planning work. Good detailers are in
demand! This class will also continue into an introduction to Map 3D CAD/ CAM
software.

OSHA 30 CERTIFICATION CLASS & RIGGING AND SIGNAL PERSON
CLASS BEGINS JANUARY 27, 2016!
· This is a 32-hour safety awareness class. You will receive the OSHA-30 certification card upon successful completion of the class along with a qualified rigger and signal person card. More and more job specifications are requiring that at least one person per crew on the job site carry the OSHA 30 certification. Labor Coordinators are now asking for members with OSHA-30 cards when they call the Hall for manpower. Put yourself in a good situation and get this card!

Fire Life Safety Level Two A few more people are needed to sign up before class can be scheduled. Successful completion of this 28-hour class & the included exam will certify you as a National Energy Management Institute (NEMI) Fire Life Safety Systems Level two Technician. This class is intended for TAB professionals who are proficient in controls, smoke management systems & stairway pressurization. In order to qualify to sit for the exam, you must have the FLS level one Technician certification & also be TABB certified.
